House rules of the story board
Featurd Stories writes about live competition that readers can check within minutes, which sets the following rules.
Reported, rumoured, confirmed
A team sheet, an injury report and a transfer rumour carry different weight, and each one is labelled.
A signing is described as complete only once the club or the governing body says so.
Scores, odds and status
A result carries the competition, the round and the date, and a suspended or abandoned event is named as such.
Betting odds are quoted as market prices with their source, never as a tip.
No rights, no feed
The publication holds no broadcast rights and does not present itself as a live scoring service.
Where a figure comes from an official statistics provider, that provider is named.
Corrections: Featurd Stories
A wrong score, name, minute or venue is fixed in the article, which then shows when it changed.
Readers, clubs and agents can raise a correction through the contact form.
Who writes the story
Author pages state which sports a contributor follows, without claiming accreditation, dressing room access or a playing career.
Athletes and allegations
An accusation involving an athlete is attributed to the body or the document making it, and the person concerned is given room to answer.
